| Apco Aviation started manufacturing the Mayday
in 1984, and since then put over 20 000 pieces into service in the
Paragliding and Hang Gliding markets. The Mayday has hundreds of life
saving deployments to its name, from beginners to world champions. The Mayday boasts superior construction and materials. The canopy cloth is F111 "zero porosity" ripstop nylon. The skirt and apex skirt is reinforced with military spec nylon tape, neatly wrapped and 
stitched with a precision four-needle machine. The line attachments have
V-Tab reinforcements, sewn in place with a computerized machine,
ensuring consistently high quality and strength.The Bridle is made from 6000 pound Nylon Webbing (UV Resistant). The attachment loop is covered with a Teflon sheath, to protect it from dangerous friction which may occur during deployment. | Following extensive research on the Skytex 27
fabric with Porcher Sport, Nervures have developed with the same team of
engineers an ultra light material dedicated specifically for reserve
parachutes. This material combines very high lightness with extremely
high resistance to tear required to pass the stringent certification (EN
12491) tests. The Nervures Plum Reserve Parachute is certified in three sizes: S, M, L Not only is the PLUM Reserve ultralight but it will also pack extremely small. Nervures have designed a specific ultralight front mount container. This reduces the presence of the reserve on your harness.  The PLUM is available in two versions: Type 1 is for harnesses such as the Nervures Bivouac or Expe that lack shoulder mounted reserve attachment points and Type 2 for most harnesses that have shoulder mounted reserve attachment points.
A special ultralight reserve container is available
for the Nervures PLUM. The container will also hold the Sup'air Xtralite
and Sky Paragliders Sky Lite reserve parachutes. 6.9 ounces/194 grams.

The SOL SAVEMAX emergency system is a parachute
specially constructed for paragliding use. The design results in a fast
opening time and reduces pendular instability. SAVEMAX parachutes have
the most modern emergency reserve technology in paragliding. They are made of high tenacity Nylon 6.6 which is specific to parachutes. All SAVEMAX models have a Pulled down system (APEX). The low porosity size of the fabric (0-3 cfm) follows the F-111 Standard. The lines are Nylon with great elasticity to minimize opening impact.
