Escape
from overcrowded takeoffs to launch with cool serenity, share a
mountain flight with good friends, or travel the world in search
of poetic flights amidst stunning landscapes…that's what we
dream of.
Inspired by this vision, the Nervures
philosophy is based on the freedom from constraints. The goal is
to preserve the spirit of Free Flight. Nervures research, based on
weight reduction is also valuable for security: a light canopy
is easier to control in harsh conditions. But "light weight"
does not mean "light duty". The high performance fabrics we have
carefully selected and field tested exhibit excellent resistance
to ageing. Nervures believes that the pilot and the wing must
work together in harmony, the company works hard to produce the
legendary Nervures handling: a progressive and linear feedback
which makes the pilot feel at one with the wing.
Nervures wings are not
manufactured in emerging countries, in fact they are
manufactured in Europe, in France to be precise. The workers are
well paid and work in an environment of the highest standards.
This does not mean that the paragliders are more expensive, on
the contrary the prices are very competitive, but the profit
margins are smaller. As the paragliders are being produced on
site, you get the best after sale service and maintenance
possible because Nervures knows each individual paraglider that
is sold. The best of both worlds!
Beginner, expert, mountain addict or
free flight vagabond, there is a Nervures Paraglider designed to
share your adventures. Easy to inflate and graced with intuitive
piloting, it will give you true freedom. Whether in the bag or
in flight your Nervures wing will become a natural extension of
yourself.
Nervures, designed for the natural born
Adventurer.

Nervures LOL Paraglider/Speed Glider
$2600 - $2700 |
|
The
Nervures
LOL bridges the gap between standard paragliders and the speed gliders
such as the Swoop.
Available in two versions: Light (3.3 kg.) with the standard durability as a
regular glider and the LOL Ultra: Ultra light and ultra compact, it's
the perfect companion for extreme mountaineering, long trips, or
trekking addicts. Properly folded, it only half fills a small mountain
pack and weighs only 2.7 kg.
Nervures
have kept things as simple as possible: short lines and with trimmers,
the speed bar is eliminated. The LOL is just fun to fly: its easy launch, precise
handling and small turning radius make it super agile and easy to core
small thermals yet flat turns are easy too. The LOL drastically widens
the range of possibilities and sensations.
Let the trimmers off, and you suddenly
have a speed flying wing which you can carve and swoop along the
contours of the slope. Turbulence? Nervures have engineered the profile to
resistant turbulence.
LOL are delivered with trim risers, inner
bag, repair kit, manual and a choice of backpack. For the ultra lightweight
fanatics, the 20 liter Mini Flash tips the scales at
340 grams yet will still hold a LOL, lightweight harness, clothing and
munchies. As alternatives the standard 55 liter sack or
the 75 liter mountain sack are available for your adventures.
The LOL is certified EN B. At 60kg
all-up weight the LOL is a very accessible wing. While at 90 kg, it is
more sporty and dynamic.

pdf file.
Available January 2010.

Nervures
Faïal Paraglider $3800
Faïal is a
volcanic island of the Azores archipelago.
During a
transoceanic sailing voyage, Manu Bonte from Nervures had the chance to
stop in the Azores.
The kindness of
people, scenic beauty and the magic of a few flights in this environment have left a strong memory. Nervures wanted to pay tribute to this corner
of paradise by naming the newest paraglider after one of the nine
islands of the archipelago.
The Faïal is a seriously fun wing. It
combines sound behavior with excellent performance. It suits
an improving pilot with some thermal flying experience but
also the more experienced pilots looking for a reassuring
wing to fly with peace of mind. Everyone will like its
precise and natural turning characteristic as well as its
performance potential.

• Easy inflation even with null wind it will
lift straight away.
• Easy to handle, flat turn at the beginning
of the control range. Good roll control by weight shift.
• Seriously fun wing and easy to fly.
• Good behaviour at low speeds.
• Gentle recovery.
• Light weight even in Standard: size M
(80-100 kg) less than 5 kg.
• High build quality: ergonomic neoprene
swivelled handle, Velcro tabs on wing tips for cleaning.
The Faïal Motor Glider is available with
Nervures PPG risers including trim tabs and anti-torque
hook-in points.

Nervures Faïal Bivouac Paraglider $4000
Following the
Valluna Bivouac, the Faïal Bivouac was designed to be the perfect
companion for bivouac flights. Echoing the geometric characteristics of
Faial, the Bivouac has a very light inflation
that can be launched in
difficult locations. The ultra-light wing provides excellent stability
and it is easy to control in turbulent conditions
This model has
been the object of our attention with regard to the size of its pilots.
The Bivouac Faïal is the inheritor of the Valluna Bivouac, the
paraglider that made it possible for daring adventurers to live wild
dreams through the heart of wilderness.
The
kilometers they have covered and the flight hours flown gave us proof
that our choices and critical materials were not only optimal in terms
of lightness, but also sustainable.
"And I'm here to tell you, this
wing rocks. I absolutely love the way it comes up on launch
the first time, every time, particularly on rougher launches
(given the light weight material). Very nicely responsive
and predictable with no surprises. Not much seat time yet,
but I'm loving it. Same with the harness; great piece of kit
as it swallows all my junk while flying and allows me to
strap the trekking poles on the outside. Very cool.
Thanks for your better-than-superb customer service."

Nervures
Kailash Paraglider $4200
Kailash mountain, 6714m, is located
in Tibet. On the Tibetan flag it symbolizes the Tibetan land surrounded
by the snow capped mountains. Holy mountain for the Hindus and the
Buddhists, it has never been climbed. Kailash means "bright like
crystal" in Tibetan.While designing the
Kailash Nervures wanted to get an ambitious sport wing, fun to fly and
aggressive in thermals with high level of performance and safety. The
results are impressive and the EN 926-2005 certification report says it
all: a majority of As and only 2 Cs for accelerated 75% collapses.
However the sportive behavior of the Kailash
will particularly suits the demanding XC pilots. Lift at take-off is
instantaneous. In flight, the feeling of speed is confirmed by the
speedometer. The response to control inputs is direct, however the
Kailash can be flown very slowly and still stay maneuverable. In
thermals the Kailash glides smoothly while coring. The yaw is perfectly
balanced and the turn performance is high and precise allowing you to
core intuitively.
Its sharp behavior gives it excellent glide
during head wind transition. The long traveling speed system allows for
high speed. The polar is still very flat on the first bar.
Nervures have paid particular attention to the quality
of accessories; the risers are made of 12mm webbing and fitted with
ultra light double bar accelerator.
The Kailash Motor Glider is available with Nervures PPG
risers including trim tabs and anti-torque hook-in
points.

last two years with the Skytex 27 on the Huapi Mountains, Valluna
Bivouac and more recently the heavy loaded Swoop Mountain, allows us to
guarantee the best longevity on this light product.
The Kailash Bivouac can be ordered with sheathed
lines and/or 12mm risers without extra charges. It is supplied with a
choice of either 75 liter Mountain Bag, 110 liter Bivouac Bag (default)
or 150 liter Site Bag.
"I just
wanted to write and say THANKS! for selling me a fantastic wing. In
the months since I received my Kailash Bivouac it has seen
everything from strong thermal conditions to high wind ridge
soaring, and even the occasional early morning no wind launch from
my favorite hiking hill. In my 15 years of flying paragliders, I can
say without a doubt that this is the finest, most versatile
intermediate level wing I have ever flown. There truly is
something special about the way this glider flies that can’t be put
down on the spec sheets. A pilot is always anxious when buying a new
wing, wondering if the right choice has been made. Well, the Kailash
was definitely the right choice! Thanks again for your patience and
guidance."
Best wishes,
Mark

Nervures Arteson Tandem Paraglider $4400
37.4 m2, A.R. 4.7 The Arteson
is optimized for mountain type usage. Its unbelievably low weight
(5.85 kg) and compactness will enable you to consider all kinds of
tandem flying; trekking,
traveling or mountaineering. Nil wind
inflation is outstanding; the slightest breath of air is enough to
bring it above the head. Its reduced aspect ratio makes it easy to
control the wing in all conditions. Strong wind, side wind, it makes
light work of the elements to enable the easiest take off possible.
It offers excellent lifting and flare characteristics without
compromising the high level of passive safety to carry passengers in
serenity. It is very nice to fly and under the total flying weight
of 160 kg its performance allows cross country flights. The wing
structure (V-ribs) and Nervures' experience in mountain gliders
ensure that the wing will age very well. The innovative
spreader-risers knotted in Dyneema are very light and resistant
offering all the functionalities expected on a tandem (split A
risers and trim tabs). Weight: 5.85 kg with sheathed lines, trimmed
risers and soft spreaders.
